Surface science and scanning probe microscopy (SPM):
1) Surface physical chemistry of oxide single crystals and ultra-thin films.
2) Molecular self-assembly on surfaces.
3) Application and development of SPM technique particularly scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and non-contact atomic force microscopy (NC-AFM).
4) Surface science of nanocrystals.
